2017 Material Exploration

Sarong is a Thai traditional fabric that has a unique color and pattern. The concept of this project is the contrast between culture and usage. Thai people usually wear Sarong in summer. Hence, using Sarong fabric and modified it into an Eskimo coat which created a contrast between the two objects. This project is a group project. The designer participated in the designing process, buying materials, pattern making and sewing the coat.
